Gt3 PPI

Looking to get a 997.1 GT3 inspected in Gloucestershire / Wiltshire area, considering Dick Lovett Swindon, Steve Bull or Neil Garner, any thoughts or recommendations appreciated. Also is an OPC PPI the 111 point check or more comprehensive?

The OPC check is not very comprehensive IMO but it's invaluable if you are considering putting an OPC warranty on the car.

Thanks, car already has an OPC warranty so looking for something more thorough that will cover any potential accident damage etc.

However, the car is in Glouc./Wiltshire so the seller probably doesn't want to take it to Fearnsport which I think is near Silverstone.

I haven't used them but all three the OP asks about appear to have a good reputation. If its close you could also consider the OPC in Bristol. They did a post purchase inspection last week on my 996 GT3, and appeared knowledgeable and enthusiastic

I may be in the market for a 7.1 GT3 soon, and having used Fearnsport a lot in the past, would want an PPI done there, rather than one of the other "specialists" (excluding any firm which runs Cup cars).

What's the consensus on asking sellers to get PPIs done at specific places? Assuming I cover petrol and inspection costs, the only 'cost' to the seller would be their time.

Given the number of cars with 'history' and the relatively small demand for these cars, I would have though a rationale seller would be considerate to this?

Matt started out on working on car bodywork so he is well qualified to ppi body and mechanics. I would pay the vendor to get the car to Matt and pay Matt for the inspection. I would never do what I did and buy a RS having inspected it myself again ! I would get it to Matt for a honest appraisal

I used Peter Morgan on my 997.1 GT3- 230 point check - takes 3/4 hours and very thorough - critically covers lots of things the 111 point OPC check doesn't

But wont Matt or anyone need to get the car (the GT3 that is) up in the air to do all of the proper checks?
