This regards fitting the kit to a 997.2 GT3 RS.

Does anyone have any experience in getting this done?

Rough idea of cost?

Thanks in advance for any info.

I recently had the complete pump unit changed on my car, my OPC told me the unit cost £10.8k, not cheap and that did not include fitting etc eek

Pope at OPC Swindon posted something about this months ago. He should be able to help. It was 8 grand plus IIRC.

There must be a mistake there. I've heard people talking around the £4k mark before, and that's including fitting. Then again maybe that wasn't an official Porsche kit.

That's what I was told, they we're gobsmacked at the price as well, thank God for the warranty smile

Wow. Maybe this idea I have in my head isn't as economical as I first thought...

Just think when the 991 gt3 starts going wrong with 27ecu and rear steering.

Would any one touch a 10 year old 991 Gt3 ?

I've been exploring this for my aero kitted 997 as I recently moved house and now have a fairly steep driveway, unfortunately I need to remove the splitter to make it on the drive and into the garage.

Anyway, there are seemingly two aftermarket solutions. TechArt and CarGraphic.
Couple of links below.

Haven't explored prices in detail, but believe costs are anywhere from £2.5k upwards

I got a quote back in 2010 from Cargraphic for their Airlift system for the GT2/GT3, it was £3532 + VAT. It could be cheaper now I suppose.

Is that just for the kit, or is that it fitted too?

That was fitted with a Parr stage 1 geometry set up using the original dampers.

TechArt Front Lift system is around 4500 GBP fitted. Here are the parts:

TechArt kit will allow you to raise the nose by 60mm:

seems daft on a 100k car to fit a 5k kit and void the warranty when the op's dad has not even bought one yet,

just wait and buy one with lift, it's not like you need a GT3 in a rush this weather.

Pope's retro-fit kept the warranty intact as you would imagine.

The last time I saw a retrofit lift kit like the ones shown it was being taken off a 997.2 GT3 RS by Leicester OPC prior to retail. The factory kit is also a little temperamental at times. Refusing to lift (or lower in some instances). However it has proved essential at times to avoid ripping the splitter off at low speed.
