Hard top back on

Oh well, I suppose its that time of the year again
Hard top back on...so no more "Wind in the hair " motoring#
Anyone else feel a little deflated when they put their top back on ?

Don't see the point in them, the soft top works ok.

I think that's the point the soft top works OK that's it. It doesn't work as well as a hard top.

I had a 997 turbo S cab with a hard top and I would swear the car was a bit stiffer and handled a bit better with it on. I could jut be imagining that of course. In every other respect it was a liability and I shouldn't have bothered!

There is a hard top in my garage that hasn't been on once since I owned the car (911 bought s/h). Soft top is so good in all weathers and its nice to go top down on a clear frosty night sometimes.

My hard top will stay where it is, in the garage. Virtually no benefit IMO...

Do the heated wing mirrors work without the heated rear screen being on ?

But I haven't got a heated rear screen.

Depends if your car lives outside or in a nice warm garage. My last car was a cab and it had to live outside 24/7,so a hardtop through the winter was ,to me, a good investment. If your car has a nice toasty dry garage to lounge around in, then I accept that a hardtop seems a waste of effort.

I have got a nice toasty garage
unfortunately, i have to drive in not so nice and not so toasty British weather
and i find a heated rear screen quite useful
+, eliminates the Pain in The Arse "plastic window slasher" element

I have just put mine on for the first time since I bought the car. It makes me feel I have a different car!! Makes a nice change. That said the soft top is so well made and versatile I will probably set it back ip with the soft top in spring!! Nice to have the choice!
