997 GTS - traction control

A friend has a 997 GTS and he dowdy seem to be able to turn off traction control fully? Think he can only disable PSM? Tried holding it down for a number of seconds but that doesn't work. If it says PSM off he says traction still works to a degree? Does that sound right??

It will always be on to a degree having in sport and tc off will allow higher tolerance.

Only way possible for fully off is fuse out, but not recommended.

You cannot fuse out a PDK car also you lose sport mode mapping in the manual car.

So when PSM is turned off, what traction aids are left on?

when ABS is triggered on 1 front wheel (sport mode off) or when both front wheels (sport mode ON), PSM is re-activated.
I don't know if steering lock is required as well but it does stand to reason.

Only on the GTx models does PSM off really mean Off.

And if you never trigger the ABS?
