Quick bumper respray & OPC warranty question

Guys I need to get some scuffs on my bumper resprsyed, does anyone know if I have to use an OPC or can I go to a Porsche specialist ? Car has OPC warranty btw.

anybody can do it - doesn't effect your warranty one bit.

Not directly related , but what I would say is that I looked at a Boxster Spyder at OPC Silverstone. Apparently they respray the front of every used car as a matter of course (surely only if it needs it - but even the slightest blemish seems to justify it in their eyes). The job was perfect (and I know what I'm looking at). I simply couldn't tell it had been done.

That's not to say all such OPC work will be to the same standard, but be very sure about the quality of the job before going to a shop of you choice.

It WILL affect the Porsche paint warranty!

That's a first to me 'paint warranty' it's a 6 year old car!!!

Well it's the corrosion warranty really, which still applies to your car and will continue to for a bit longer. Well, depending on who does the respray.....

+1 The OPC respray is Guaranteed for life. I previously did a non-OPC repair and paid the price having to spray it again later.

Don't think yu can go to the bodyshop directly and get it for less - you will pay by not getting the OPC warranty.

Unless you are too far use Mid Sussex who use SL Restoration behind the scenes and do a great job. Ask for the service manager to quote you happy and compare to other highly rated OPC bodyshop quotes.
