Like a prat, I think I left my locking wheel nut socket on the wheel; then drove off! I've got a stack of cards with code this and code that, but can anyone tell me which one is the locking wheel nut code? It's a 993.

By the way, my day at bedford was cut short when power steering fluid started dipping out from the pump area. Anyone experienced this too?

Thanks.
Alan

I poped along to my local OPC colchester for my 964, and they sorted me out no problem.

Cost about £20 as I believe.

How do they identify which is the correct one? I've got a stack of 'code cards' in my service book but i'm unsure if any are the nut code!

If the locker has a cover whip it off and there will probably be a number or letter stamped into it, for security these don't correspond exactly to the key required, usually the nut is a letter which the dealer matches up to a numbered key.

The old Arlingtons OPC in Northampton used to have all the keys on a chain for the late 80's type of lock and a drawer full of the socket adaptors for the later type. I am sure all OPC's will be the same so just pop in and let them try them all

Unusual from the pump area - sounds like a loose connector. Its usually pouring out the rack .....

cheers, Maurice

Thanks for the tips guys; i'm going to my local OPC in kent tomorrow to what they can do for me. If the can find a key that fits I'll have to take back all I've said about them being the most useless and incompetent idiots to ever touch a car. If not, statement will stay.

As for the power steering; it's not losing fluid at any great rate; a drip here and there. I'll pull it apart tomorrow me thinks!
