Porsche Cayenne buyer's guide?

I'm looking at a Porsche Cayenne this weekend, and I'm hoping to find a buyer's guide and/or some owner real-life experiences.
It's an 07 plate facelift, with the 3.6 petrol engine. Not sure what options it has, so if anyone can give a helpful way to decipher what it has, that'd be good too.
Is it 'typical Porsche' with the potential to throw up big bills or, because the engine is a VW engine, there's less to worry about?

I have been looking at these myself as a purchase in the next year or so and as far as I can tell the 3.6 engine is a good one even though it is the slowest of the engines but is just as thirsty as the 4.8. (4.8 before facelift had engine problems)
Being a facelift is obviously better and on the whole from what I have read they are very reliable but make sure you check everything works and I mean everything including air suspension if it has it.
Air suspension from what I have seen is a great option to have and some say its a must however when I look at what is for sale only half of them have it and even less on the facelifted models so I wouldnt bother with it too much unless you really want it.
If the one you are looking at does have it make sure it works perfectly! it should go up and down quickly within a maximum time of 30 seconds, any longer and there may be a leak or dying compressor.
if I was buying a porsche used I would certainly get a porsch 111 point check done for 250 pounds, they are very very detailed in their checks as its required for their approved warranty so in turn they are extra cautious in their checks.

I'm also thinking of purchasing a Cayenne pretty soon too!
Had intended on getting an AA inspection done before buying but having heard dubious feedback about this sort of thing I'm now thinking that getting a 111 point check done by a Porsche garage...
Hope this doesn't sound too stupid but is this something that should be done before purchasing the car? Or once I've bought it? I know the former makes better buying sense but I'm not sure how I'd go about it.
