Panamera s e-hybrid qualifies for £5k grant

The Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid has qualified for the government's £5000 discount for low-emission models. The S E-Hybrid also attracts a 5 per cent company car tax liability and is eligible for 100 per cent of first year capital allowance. It is exempt from road tax, first registration fee and the London Congestion Charge. Porsche claims 91mpg, emissions of 71g/km and an EV range of 22 miles.
Nice to see Porsche UK have finally won the case, can't wait till the Daily Mail gets hold of the story! The 918 Spyder has qualified also!

In fact, based on whats posted above, you'd have to be very brave to pick the diesel above one of these..I'd suggest buying one quick before the money runs out. Cameron has sensibly enough called an end to the "green crap" and industry is taking him seriously -- e.g. scrapping that economically unsustainable wind farm.

How long before we see the charging cables on ebay as they get stolen from cars left unattended charging, followed closely by personal injury claims from people tripping over the cables in the street looking for a quick payout from these no win no fee companies!
Do you have to pay to charge the car on one of these units, how do they work? Seems like it would of made sense to enclose them more so pedestrians can't try and walk between the car and post when in use, hence avoiding the trippers. :-)
A good friend of mine had a 997 turbo with the badge missing

Afraid not, the badge is not available on its own

You can run it in full sport with electric and petrol at full chat and it doesn't alter any of the tax benefit! Porsche didn't write the CO2 rules and the OLEV grant but have succeeded in exceeding the targets. The Cayenne gets the same tech next year.
