So I had my 993 up for sale and who should ring?

I had my 993 up on PH for a while. I had seen a 993 C2S I wanted but it sadly got sold rather too quickly.
Anyway the first call I get about my 993 is from 'Mike'. I missed the call and he left me a message. "Would I please ring him back as", the message said, "it is just what I am looking for". So I did; the grumpy sod who answered the phone berated me for having rung the wrong number - 'Mike' was on extension 12 not 11. "Ring him on his right number not mine". All very bizarre and frankly off putting so I didn't bother.
A week later the same phone number rings me - it had stuck in my mind after the grumpy old sod - and its "Mike". Only Mike isn't a private buyer he is Mike from Hendon Way Motors. He had a buyer for my car! As soon as I heard HWM I told him I was not interested and hung up.
So why do I post? Because I know the Mods quickly remove posts about HWM. But had I not known their 'form' from forums such as this I may may have been suckered into dealing with them and a potential nightmare. And thank god for the grumpy old sod who answered the phone in the first place as he very successfully put me off in his own right!

I had another call this week from Mike, again stating he had a buyer for my car, I laughed and hung up. It was the same Mike that phoned 2 months earlier saying exactly the same, he isn't the brightest. A buyer was lined up I just needed to take it to London from Plymouth. I told him the only way the car was leaving was if they came to me and handed over cash.

Have taken it off market; I was after the Speed Yellow C2S at Paul Devyea but it sold! If I see another I will put it back up but in the two days it was up I had 10 enquiries (not including HMW !) so I sense you are right about 993.xftdr said:

That was lovely. Good luck with your search. I've always wanted a polar silver targa!..So they are still spinning that old line are they.. strokers.., sooner or later they will have so many pi**ed off customers and so much bad press they will go down, what goes around comes around, it's only a matter of how long it takes, and no one is more deserving than that shower of sh*t.
