Buzzing noise from front on 997 C2S, normal?

Hi there

my car emits a low pitch quiet buzzing noise from around front wheels when engine running, only noticed it as I changed a front wheel with engine running. I'm assuming it's the PASM or TPMS, is it normal, only does it when running, can't tell if rear buzzes due to engine noise? Seems to be loudest in wheel well, hence thinking it's the struts/shocks/PASM.

Have the same car and don't notice any buzzing at the front end... sorry that isn't too helpful but am sure someone on here will know!

Gotta stick you head next to front wheel to really here it and engine running, but maybe it's not normal and something is wrong with mine....

Do you have the A/C on? The radiator fans run whenever the A/C is on. Of course if you changed the tire with the engine idling the engine could have gotten warm enough to turn on the radiator fans. Other than the radiator fans I know nothing that should produce the noise you describe in that area of the car, unless there is something amiss.

Best get the car checked out by a trained tech in case there's something amiss.

Cars being stood a couple of weeks, maybe it was fuel pump buzzing, shall give it a good drive this week, see if it goes away. You can hear it in front luggage area just, but it's most audible in wheel wells.

Had a good listen this evening with car on tick over - no buzz up front anywhere that I could detect...

It's the fuel pump, had that on mine.

Similarly on the 997S.1 I had. The noise was always there - a very low key, squishy, pumpy, electric-motory combination. Never got better/worse, just normal.

Mine got worse, ended up replacing it.
