OPC inspection of p/x

Is it normal practice for an OPC to insist on a workshop inspection of a p/x including rev range checks. It's a GT3. I really feel like the dealer think I am attempting to off load a problem car on them - they actually accused me of it at one stage. I have only owned if for 10 months and am swapping it for a Clubsport. There is no issue with it, I just want a Clubsport.

Seems reasonable to me, whats the problem? I assume you have nothing to hide?Wouldnt you want OPCs to check cars properly before buying them? Cos, its us that end up with them!
There's probably not a pass or fail to the inspection either, but if it's not suitable for them to retail (e.g. pver-revs) the value will be lower, based on what they hope it will achieve at auction.
They're likely to be harsh on the inspection though, in order to hopefully reduce the amount you'll accept for it.

If it's normal practice for a full test then so be it. The issue I had was being accused of having an ulterior motive for selling the car by the sales manager. Combine the 2 things and it made me question the need.
I would say the two issues should be looked at separately, if it was me and I was accused of having ulterior motives for part exchanging a car with them I think I would have given the salesman a piece of my mind and probably walked away. With regards the inspection, when I part exchanged my vehicle at 911virgin the other week Tom gave my car a good look over and plugged it in to the computer to check the rev ranges,it all came up perfect and they were happy to take it in. What I liked about this was that it was reassuring that if they were checking my vehicle thoroughly then hopefully the car I was buying would have been checked out in the same way before being taken in. 
I was accused by an OPC of trading in a car that had been in an accident. I had owned the car from new so no history, and wanted to walk away. However I think the manager was just pissed that I had got such a good deal out of them. I have had other cars put up on ramps etc for inspection as well, but this shows due diligence that will have been reciprocated on your purchase.
At the end of the day put up with most things for the best deal, just like a woman!

When did all this over revving business suddenly become a cast iron, cautionary tale of absolute unsellable Porsche doom?
It seems to be talked about all the time now, but when I had my 911 inspected 2 years ago, I'm fairly sure this wasn't something that was checked as part of their 111-point inspection.

At a rough guess, when they stopped offering any warranty on cars with over-revs (or non-Porsche floormats It seems to be talked about all the time now, but when I had my 911 inspected 2 years ago, I'm fairly sure this wasn't something that was checked as part of their 111-point inspection.
