Idiotic parking

There is limited road parking where I live (the road is only wide enough for parking on one side, and we all have driveways), and I noticed a few days ago that a BMW X5 I'd never noticed before had parked in the spaces opposite my house - but although there is space for two cars there, he'd parked right in the middle, so was blocking two spaces. Was a bit annoyed at the time, since it prevented me from putting the Cayenne out there.
When I got home from work today, those two spaces were free so I put the Cayenne into the one directly opposite my house. Went out in the turbo, and got back to find X5 driver is back - and his parking has got worse :
I've printed out a photo and put it under their wiper with a note asking the owner to please leave a gap between cars when parking, and that I will be checking for damage to my bumper / reversing sensors in the morning.
Why are people this stupid? The annoying thing is - despite them both being big cars, there is at least a foot of space behind him before the next driveway. I will be watching out for the owner in the next few days so we can have a chat.

Whether you know it or not you must have rubbed them up the wrong way (jealousy?) as that looks deliberate to me, so proceed with caution.

I have very little to do with my neighbours apart from the people directly opposite who I get on well with. Jealousy isn't impossible though, since my car collection is a little excessive compared to the rest of the road.Ashley
I'll assume human error for now - whoever it is left very early this morning. I know most cars in my road (it's not exactly a close, but kind of) but I don't know this one - only seen it a couple of times. I will be watching out for it now though, so I can see who it belongs to.
People get very territorial about the space outside their house. Often think they own it. I had an identical parking incident a few years ago on holiday. Quite what the other car's owner would have made of my resting luggage on his bonnet and climbing over it to get access shall forever remain a mystery because reason prevailed and I pulled the car forward a couple of feet in order to open and load the boot. Proceed with caution. If they park unreasonably they may act unreasonably when challenged.
The grey Toyota in this shot is the wife's snotter and right outside our front door. The Punto parked there about an hour after my wife parked. There's nothing in front of the Punto at all, on either side of the road. Punto driver however would have had to have walked an extra 10 or 20ft if she'd parked further forwards. So instead blocked the road. Lukcily it's a quiet road, but still, some people just can't park and don't realise what a PITA they are.
Well, living on Cyprus I know a bit of Greek.

And unfortunately this kind of stuff is so common.
Usually make 3-4 circles around my office to find a spot and seeing 2 Yaris's parked exactly 3 meters from each other an from other cars to take space enough for 3-4 normal cars. That's life.

I was fuming last night - this morning, I decided to give the benefit of the doubt and assume that perhaps they didn't notice they'd touched my bumper. Although since I noticed they were incredibly close to my car just driving down the street, it's quite difficult to believe that.GGGGGrrrrrr!

Has your Cayenne got one of the electrical reractable tow bars? If so leave it out so next time they 'bump' you it will destory their front end When I got home from work today, those two spaces were free so I put the Cayenne into the one directly opposite my house. Sadly not.It does have a tow bar in the rear luggage area, but when I tried to fit it after buying the car I couldn't actually get it to fit. Might try again now though - and maybe set the air suspension to max height so if they do get that close again it will be their radiator, not their bumper.....
Used to happen every few weeks to my 911's being used as a bump stop when parking. Often got the response its only a f'ing car and f u and your Porsche. Often from people you least expect, spit was quite prevalent too.
