I've heard a friend’s GTS with PSE and now I’m thinking of getting a Sports Exhaust on my 2.9 PDK, from an OPC, am I right in thinking the system fitted from the OPC is the same as the factory fitted one with the switchable buttons on the dash,
Will this aftermarket one from the OPC sound the same? Anyone done this and have any sound clips

I have a 987.2, 3.4S, Phil put a full system on that for me, with plenum and throttle bodies too and an ecu to match. It sounds great, without being overly loud or droney. They also do an exhaust with flaps and will wire it through to a button on your dash, very similar to the factory sports exhaust.

When I bought my 987.2 Boxster S PDK it didn't have sports chrono or PSE so had them fitted as part of the deal when buying. Exactly the same as if spec'd as new but without the clock on the top of the dash.
Doesn't sound like a 911 system but does sound good, not boomy just a deeper richer sound and a top end wail to be enjoyed.
Like someone has said not a cheap option but is good. I've read many good reports of Carnewal exchange systems for a cheaper but still quality permanent on solution http://www.carnewal.com/products/P87/p87016/P87-2-GT-Exhaust

It won't sound anything like a GTS. The 2.9 sounds more like a high revving ferrari engine with the PSE.Will this aftermarket one from the OPC sound the same? Anyone done this and have any sound clips

The GTS with PSE is a more deeper, tractor like sound.
I think the 2.9 with PSE is probably the nicest note out of all the modern Flat-6 engines.
I'd agree with the last post. Drove a GTS at the Porsche Experience Centre and came away thinking it's not worth the investment on my previous 997. However, the sound at high revs on my current Spyder is fantastic. So much so I couldn't imagine driving it without. Probably helped by lack of sound insulation from the Spyder's roof however!
