Europipe 997t

Has anyone got EP1 and or EP2 around London or Herts I can perhaps listen to? All the vids I have seen of after market exhausts are pretty uninspiring.

I am also thinking of fitting one of their systems to my 997T.1 . The quality looks superb and It would be great if fellow owners could share their experiences and if they found the need to have the engine ECU re mapped . I have contacted Europipe and was told that no re-mapping is necessary but I am still concerned that with the reduced back pressure some adjustments may be necessary?

IMI could you please tell what you know? The stock exhaust back pressure is 6.4psi/0.44Bar fitting the Europipe stage 1 system reduces the back pressure down to 2.6psi/0.18Bar , How does the ECU compensate for the different Air/Fuel ratio that must occur within the engine due to the reduced back pressure and yielding another 20bhp?

The 20hp will be in the mid range, as one runs up through the revs the extra exhaust flow allows the turbos to give extra torque when they spool up, the ECU then reigns it back in to match original programmed targets and by peak power you are back at programmed power. It is still a nice gain tho' and great noise.

I have the Europipe stage 1 on my 996 turbo, sounds great, much better than standard and built really well. You do not have to remap but if you can a remap will certainly put a smile on your face.

I had one on my 996tt and yes it was a masterpiece to look at and it did sound better than stock if you go for the stage 2 version but for the money it commands you could have a stage 2 package and an exhaust system that reduces some weight rather than weighing the same as stock!

TBH, no videos online do any exhaust system any favours. My two Capristo's sound quite different to the YT clips.

I had a Europipe fitted at great expense to a 997 turbo I owned and it was a big disappointment.

It didn't really do much at all

Well, I found it hard to judge how fast I was going by noise and I would look down and be cruising at 130 or something.

I thought the exhaust would help me judge speed a bit better whilst providing a decent soundtrack, it didn't.

I have just bought my 997.1 GT3 RS back with a Europipe and that is splendid

You should give ken a call at 9e. They have switchable exhausts that sound a lot better IMO than euro pipe and are price similar, iirc they had some sort of group buy on recently and sold a lot of exhausts. Best sounding exhaust I have heard and they run it on their 9exx as well.

Have heard EP1, AUDI500 is always driving around London maybe worth pm'ing him. Its more subtle than wow but a million times better miltek.

Europipe is so over rated. One good thing about it is it's built well and that's it.

I think there is no best as there is no proof but for me its M-M Racing/FVD system.

It's reasonably priced, its's built well and it sound's awesome plus you gain good power.
