997 coupe prices

looking to buy one in the next month, circa 2007...are current prices reflective now that these cars are all 1 year older!? I guess there is some bargaining power at this time of the year?

spec am looking for is black, 40000-55000 miles, don't mind if 2s or 4s...ideally with Carrera classic alloys or gen2 turbo wheels, and red callipers! not too fussed on interiors!

I'm not sure prices have moved much at this point in the market - the bottom end is going down but I think £30k would get you into a private car, £32k - £34k at a specialist - seems high but a quick look seems to confirm this??

All 's' models have red callipers btw... Turbo wheels won't be so common, Carrera classics not too expensive second hand so maybe worth ignoring the wheels on purchase.

and I don't think prices will drop as we move from 31st Dec 2013 to 1st Jan 2014 as 'they are a year older'... most people can probably work out a little more accurately how old a car is beyond just the year it was registered in.

I have just bought a 2006, C4S from an OPC and got 2k knocked off plus some freebies so yes you can bargain at this time of year.

Agree, just can't find one I like more than the one we have other than a red 991 cab which they are asking £82k + for!
Not sure I can haggle that down to an affordable level.

In my experience, whether you can bargain depends on the car and how saleable it is. I bought a loaded 07 C2S last year. It was on the market for two days and i was one of a number of people after it. There was no way that i could get a discount on it. It was take it or leave it.....so i took it.
