Hypothetical 997turbo / 997gt3rs project question.

I know the 997 turbo is wide bodied, and if memory serves correct so is the 997 gt3rs, yes? I also know that the exhaust tailpipes exit the rear bumper in different places on each car. Ignoring that detail for a moment does anyone know if a gt3rs rear bumper would be likely to fit a turbo? As I say, ignore the tailpipe situation for the time being. I'm wondering if the turbo has a lot more going on behind the bumper than the gt...

The turbo has a lot more going on behind the bumper, and it mainly centres around the intercoolers .....Slippydiff said:

The turbo has a lot more going on behind the bumper, and it mainly centres around the intercoolers .....Yes the GT3 bumpers do fit but obviously there is some work to be done to the intercooler ducting which connects to the rear bumper and also make a bespoke exhaust system for the centre exit.
I know one guy who used a charge cooling system which got around the vents on the bumper.
You are playing around with the aero and unless done properly it's not something you want to do.

Agreed re 'playing around with the aero', but wouldn't a rr bumper plus gt3rs engine cover/spoiler plus front bumper add up to gt3rs aero, bar (sic) the turbo rear quarter scoops?I know one guy who used a charge cooling system which got around the vents on the bumper.

What I meant by aero is the vents on the rear bumper! All hypothetically speaking of course.
Where is the charge air from the scoop that goes through the inter cooler going to escape as it will also effect the cooling performance too?
You fix that problem and there is no problem as if this is something If done correctly I would do myself.
As for the gen2 gt3 rs rear wing and deck lid, I love it and would definitely do that even if you don't do the bumper!
