water ingress to front boot

have just opened my front boot to find that i have some water ingress on the floor of the boot. i have towel dried the best i can but unsure where the water has come from, anyone heard of this before?
I did a search and a thread came up on Plant 9 but was not concluded.

my car is Cayman Gen II.

Slightly surprising. I thought that ingress was avoided primarily by the angles down the bonnet rather than seals. Have you just cleaned it?!

It may just be the high winds and rain we are having at the moment are driving the water in. Try parking it in another direction and see it that makes any difference.

Another possibility it blocked drain holes under the battery.

no, not clean the car for a few weeks, so not sure what is going on.. :scratch chin:

just had another check & i can't see where its coming in my car is outside all the time, will the cause any problems? until i get to the root of the problem

Trev may well be right. The weather has been horrific. There's a little water in my front boot, but I probably drive it enough to dry it out each day.

well i think i have water still coming in, so will need to try and figure out where its coming from. Anyone got and any ideas where or what sort of test i can carry out?

Try putting your mobile/camera in there on record, close the lid and give it a good blast with a pressure washer.
