Had a bit of a result after Robin got involved and the situation is now resolved to my satisfaction and I've received a fair apology, thanks Robin!
Kevin the technician managed to find the problem in the end, the nearside front shock spacer had somehow become dislodged. This has now been rectified and the car is perfect again they say.
The car is being delivered back to me on Thursday (they offered for me to collect today) which I'm happy with.
As said above, wasn't in doubt that the car would be rectified appropriately my bone of contention being the lack of communication and support in terms of alternative transport.
All's well that ends well!

I've had good service from Silverstone too. Glad to know they keep an eye on the forums. 
Just looking to get the Homelink on my Cayenne Diesel S finally sorted when it goes into them for the first service shortly. Alex Kennedy has been well on the ball and copied Robin on most dialogue to date, Kevin's looked into it, but they all seem to have been let down by the manufacturer here.
Just knowing Robin will read this makes me giddy with delight.

Best DP in any business by a MILE. Before that he was the best sales manager, and before that the best salesman. I have no idea how many deals I've done with him over 15 plus years, its got to be nearer 100 than 50, and not once has he not been faultless, totally trustworthy and true to every word. I'm very biased because he's now a close friend of mine.
Not a surprise that he sorted it out at all, his team are usually first class so in my experience problems don't usually become big ones.
