Trickle charger, whats going on?

Trickle charge that works fine, via cig lighter.

Leave car for a few weeks. Light Green.

Car wont open with they key (like it has shut down remote). Open with key manually and starts fine.

Does the car think it is running flat, is this because of charging via cig lighter?

Anyone had this before on their Pork?

it just goes into sleep mode after a week or two of inactivity. nothing to do with charger. opening via locks reactivates systems

I always just use the key in the lock....

If it makes you feel any better NONE of the manuals mention lifting the handle to re activate remote activation.......

It does!

It's only 2005 cars onwards that do it IIRC, pre 2005 require the key in the lock to reawaken the fob.

Ah, that makes me feel better
I always put the key in the lock on my 2003 996tt, and so carried on doing it with the Spyder.

What's this 'manual' people speak of?
