Celebs (?) who drive Porsche

My son, who's hero is David Beckham, was browsing web and arrived at this site:

Apart from Becks and Jay Leno, I haven't a clue who the others are.
Is this because Porsche attracts a lower class of celeb, or just me losing touch now I'm wrong side of 40..?

Porsche or not, I fail to understand why a previous celebrity owner pushes the value of a car up. A dealer near us recently sold a Range Rover which had allegedly been owned by Prince CHarles when he was dating Diana. On that basis it went for upwards of £70k. If owned by any pleb, it would have been worth about as much as a packet of smarties.
Porsche have that tennis player as a brand ambassador - Kournokova or some such - so odds on she drives a Porsche. Not sure if they have any male brand ambassadors or not. Steve McQueen and Paul Walker (recently deceased in a CGT) both quite well known fans of the marque, along with Jimmy Dean of course, and I'm told that Arsenal players used to use Hatfield OPC on a regular basis.
You don't know who Ken Block is? Or Mark Wahlberg? Ellen Degeneres? Reese Witherspoon? Matthew Perry (or at least Chandler Bing)? Sharon Stone? Bill Gates? Steven Tyler?!

There are a lot of pretty big names there (granted, it is a US focussed list so if you don't watch any US TV shows some of the names may be unknown), so I wouldn't say Porsche is attracting lower class celebs. If that link was a list of TOWIE "stars", then it would be a different matter!
Patrick Dempsey is an obvious one off that list (he is a big name but I'll admit that I didn't know who he was until Le Mans last year!). Given that his race team run Porsches and he raced a GT3 at Le Mans last year, I think it would have been a pretty safe bet to assume he owned a Porsche.
On a side note to that, and slightly O/T, his documentary on Discovery about Racing at Le Mans was a decent watch.

I see what you mean. Take that old Mustang in 'Bullitt' that that McQueen bloke thrashed around in. Who'd want that after being filmed ragging around San Francisco? Or that rotten old DB5 that that Connery bloke used in 'Goldfinger'. Bet that car had a hard life on the film lot. Wouldn't touch it meself...Ken Sington said:

One thing surprising -- many cars are pimped up. I guess in Hollywood you need more than a pretty face to attract attention.
