997 central locking problem...

Thoughts on this one greatly appreciated!

When I unlock my 997.2 (using the remote) I can't open the drivers door from the outside. At present I'm having to walk around, open the passenger door and reach across to open the drivers door. It's definitely unlocked, but seems only to be openable from the inside. Quite frustrating!

Is this a problem any of you have seen before? Any idea on what might be causing it?

Anything obvious I should check before heading to the OPC to have my wallet emptied?

Sounds like a problem with the locking mechanism inside the door.

Why take it to an opc when a good indy could fix it for a fraction of the cost?
