996 GT2 spotted being driven in the p*55ing rain!

Anyone know who the loony driving the silver 996 GT2 around the roads of Sussex in the bloody awful weather last week was?? Follwed it through Chailey and toward Haywards Heath before I turned off home, looked lovely and was not being driven stupidly, in fact I could have happily overtaken up Scaynes Hill but didnt as I liked the view.

You say the car was been driven sensibly but refer to the driver as a 'loony'. So long as the car had a decent tread depth on the tyres, I fail to see the problem.

Don't get it either, I drive all my Porsches year around and even took the 9e17 (1.000hp) on a ski trip last year. Ken at 9e weren't happy with salt and stuff that had gotten in everywhere next time it was in for service, but they work everywhere as long as you adjust to conditions.

Guy comes on saying he enjoyed seeing a car most people wouldn't expect to see in heavy rain, during winter and he gets pounced on for using the word loony.

OP, don't worry about the GT2 being out in the rain, those GT2 lads never go over 2000rpm. Heaven forbid the boost should come in.

A GT2 in the rain ? Nothing that a sensitive right foot can't sort. But sub zero temps ? Now they're much more fun/challenging because the inlet temps are nice and low and those PS2's (which are the skinny 315's, not 325's) are about as grippy as a banana skin at -4 degrees .....
