Why such a ridiculously low allocation for a car likely to be in demand? One a quarter just seems stupid, sell 'em while demand is high surely?I'm quite taken with the Macan Turbo and I've had an invite to a launch event in April but it's almost like "what's the point" if you can't actually sell me one in a reasonable timescale i.e. < 3 months wait
I`ve heard rumours of waiting lists going into the middle of 2015!!!
Must be they just cannont supply enough cars to meet the demand worldwide which will only increase once people see them on the road.
I reckon you could have a 2 year waiting list by June of this year.

Would be interested to know when those who have a build date put their deposit down.
Put a deposit on a petrol S 4th jan and now knowing roughly the allocation my OPC has got a feeling may not get it till
beginning of 2015, although they said they hoped they may get a few more allocated for the last quarter of this year.
I was number 8 for a petrol S and believe they only had 3 build slots up to July.

This would be my third purchase from this OPC plus they know I'm looking to but a used 991 as well
so don't think they doing me any favours due to previous or future custom.
They had 7 S petrols for 2014, not sure how many diesels but said wouldn't be any quicker if I switched
to a diesel which I won't.

Congratulations tarks63! You must be excited, did you go down for a preview evening with Reading at Harrods? I wouldn't be surprised either if they sell out for 2015 once the cars start to hit the roads and people can test drive them/have a go at the experience centre assuming they can't ramp up production anymore. What kind of spec did you go for? We've been invited to the launch on 1st April with Reading too even though we haven't given them any money, yet the OPC we've deposited with seems to think they're doing us a favour inviting us to see the production ready car we've put a deposit down for haha.
@ TBKBABAB I put down a deposit for a petrol S on the morning order books opened on Nov20th with an LOI in start of the month (1st one to deposit on a petrol S). Morons at my OPC have allocated me Q4 this year and seem to have saved the earlier slots for whoever they want to look after first. Think it comes down to your choice of OPC and your buying history as to when you get a car. Some OPCs will operate on a strict first come first serve basis though. What kind of allocation numbers have you heard from your OPC?

I did explain that it doesnt quite work like that......hopefully.
We will probably give all the razzamatazz a miss and just go and collect from Reading and see it in the flesh for the first time when we pick it up.
Managed to keep spec build down to under £54k with a white (her choice) one, black styling pack,black roof bars,sat nav, panoramic,21 inch alloys,cheaper suspension option as told air suspension excels when car used off road and she wont let me do that.Chrono thingy,memory seats.Only thing that is a tad naughty is the OPC will be respraying the calipers red like the Turbo model and removing the diesel decal.
Boo... I hear you all say...well I can`t afford to run an Aston and a Porsche Turbo as my fuel tanker needs an engine rebuild at the moment.
I did also think about putting an order in for another one(residual thing) and was told I could probably get one around Dec/Jan.
If this is the case it may well be a good investment of £2k.
