How often does your Porsche get cleaned

What is your cleaning schedule? Who cleans your car-do you do it yourself or do you trust someone else?
How often is it polished and what products do you use?

every time its been out hosed and leathered, autoglym polish also autoglym high definition wax , wash wheels with soap and water then polish after, dont trust chemical stuff on alloys heard too many horror stories of laquer comming of.

Mine is 4 weeks overdue now and the calipers are looking very grubby. No point cleaning it in this weather though (glad I went agate with grey wheels )

Why would you polish a car that often? Polish is designed to strip back (e.g. remove wax). You would be better to simply wash and dry the car, leaving the wax layer intact.

I wash my car (Swissvax car bath) every couple of weeks at the moment. It is my DD and is black so is often a bit grubby.

I put on some wax (after removing the old layer) every 2 months at the moment - a nice thick layer of wax does an OK job at protecting the paint from very minor abrasions from general dirt and bumph on the road. Less in the summer, of course.

Beginning of the season I'll take it to get properly cleaned and waxed.



I then keep on top of it using DodoJuice shampoo and quick detail. If I'm in the dog house then I may spend a bit more time and add another coat of Supernatural or Purple Haze wax.

Usually try to wash mine once a week, but this time of year with the weather as it is might be once a fortnight. Polished and waxed every couple of months.
Car is a weekend warrior though, rarely comes out during the week!

Wheels every week body every two weeks in winter.

Wax once a year in spring.

I try & clean mine weekly, love it looking its best. Recently invested in a snow foam lance which makes it much more entertaining to do!

It amazes me how so many people think polish and wax is the same thing!

They are totally different products that do opposite things!

Mine gets done when my jeans get dirty rubbing on the sill.

Bit of cold water, splash of Fairy's finest and a non-scratch washing up sponge.
Can do the wheels and bodywork with one bucket full (wheels first of course - just had them refurb'd)

Polish, wax? Nah, too much effort and unnecessary.
Cars shiny enough with the paint, wax would make no difference.

If I'm feeling adventurous, the interior will get a wipe over with last weeks washing up cloth before it gets thrown away.
