Porsche warranty avail for cars not bought from porsche

Is this possible? Logically id say no, but I seem to vaguely remember seeing articles where people have talked about porsche warrantys costing about 1500 from porsche on 996's that was bought from a non OPC garage...

After 90 days if it is passes inspection i.e. everything OEM and car has no more than 125k miles and no older than 9 years old. Cost is around £1350 iirc plus inspection some OPC waive depending on the person you deal with.

Just seems all the main people offering porsche warrantys are the wrong end of the UK !

Also, if it doesn't have a complete OPC history they'll insist on a major service (if you do, there's a good chance the inspection fee will be waived because nearly all of it's included in the service anyway).

also, expect them to point out ANY non standard items on your car. not N rated tyres - no warranty. Not the SAME N-rated tyre - no warranty. It's insane. I bet they would deny you warranty on the basis of the wrong windscreen washer fluid if they could.

I was quoted about 870 for a year's cover - that's before a Major service and a inspection for additional 700. Unfortunately they denied me on the basis of a non standard exhaust. (This is OPC cambridge)
