Extended Warranty and over revs

Hi All,
Just trying to extend the warranty on the car (2006 C4S) and the OPC have just come back saying I have over revs which occurred around a third of the way through its life. Not many or extreme by the sounds of things. I've owned the car for two years so these over revs occurred under the old owner and the car has been warrantied for the last few years by them. I bought privately but got the seller to put it through the 111 point check and take out the warranty to ensure I was covered.
The garage now want to do compression tests etc to see if they will extend or not, at my expense.
I'm not best pleased that Porsche have moved the goal posts on this and told them that. If they find anything in the compression tests will it be covered by the warranty (which runs until the 8th March thank goodness) or will I be stuck with a lemon?
Any advice appreciated. This kind of stuff is enough to put me off Porsche to be honest.

If anything untoward is found it will be covered by your current warranty. Highly unlikely from what you say though.
If your engine lets go in the next two years its a £8k rebuild at Hartech vs £2k for OPC warranty cover which also covers any other mechanical breakdown. Only you know if thats gamble worth taking but you could just as easily have no issues over the next few years and save yourself the warranty money.

Just a cynical ploy to make you part with more cash to renew if you ask me - they know damn well that it'll pass a compression test. Still, I'd say you have no choice but to pay I'm afraid, or chance it and go warranty-free.
I think you're probably right. Also, if it fails the cylinder leakage test but the DME data proves that all over revs occurred before their pre-warranty check and inspection last year then surely they'd have to replace/rebuild the engine under the warranty anyway?Thank you very much for the responses Gents. I was really hoping that any issues they might find would be covered by the existing warranty but thought they might well try and wriggle out of it.
This constant pushing to extract more cash is really putting me off the brand to be honest. I love driving the car for 10% of the time but the rest of the time it is becoming a PIA. I got a lease BMW 330D XDrive in the recent offers and love it. I enjoy driving it 90% of the time and it costs literally peanuts compared to the maintenance on the 911.

I'm worried that this is going to happen to me in June. When I bought my 997 Turbo two years ago from an OPC, the car had been into RR4 by the previous owner, who sold it to the OPC. They completed compression test, oil test, etc before putting a two year warranty on it. The warranty is due for renewal shortly and I won't be happy if they now insist on me paying for further testing for an over rev that happened over two years ago that was confirmed as ok by the OPC before they sold it to me.
