I have only had my 928 a day and when I have gone out to it for a blaz after work this evening the battery has died.

Now for the daft bit, I have had a quick look with a torch and can't find the battery!!

Could anyone tell me where it is hiding please.

Thanks,

Mark

It's somewhere near the rear part of the transaxle.
They supposedly put it there to help reduce vibrations.

Having owned a 928 for seven years i can confirm the battery is located beneath a hatch under the spare wheel. The car can be jump started from a positive post located at the offside inner wing. Enjoy your motor, loved mine only problem was her appetite for fuel!

Brilliant thanks fellas.

Got battery fired up and ran it to work, left it running for 2 hours out the back, shut it down for another hour before leaving for home and finding it flat.

Had to jump it again. The battery was replaced on Friday before I picked it up, doesn't seem to be holding a charge though.

Any guesses?

more like not receiving a charge by the sounds of it, get a DVM on the terminals whilst the car is running, should be between 13 n 14 volts or there abouts, if it is'nt then look to the alternator for answers.

Good luk (nice car)
