Missing Service History

I contacted my local OPC when I bought my 987 in June requesting some copy receipts to back up the servicing that was evident in the stamped service book. I was advised to contact the individual OPC's who carried out the work to request the details.
I found that some were obliging & others not so helpful. With a bit of perseverance / grovelling I managed to get copy receipts, albeit with the previous owners names & addresses blanked out / cut from the top of the receipt. Also, my friendly contact at the local OPC printed off an internal report of work completed & spec of the car. The reason why I use this particular OPC now, even though it is probably not the most convenient for me, is because of this help I had prior to purchasing the car. I bought privately so went to town when validating the work done to confirm the stamps in the service book.
I also managed to contact an OPC who carried out some warranty work on the car. Although not willing to provide me with receipts as they were internal to Porsche, they did confirm in writing the work carried out, date & mileage. I just printed the email & kept it in the service history.
If I remember correctly you can also download a form from DVLA which enables you to request copies of all the V5's for the car which will give you the previous owners details (£5 charge for this). A lot of OPC's will use the Data Protection Act legislation as a reason for not providing the information, however if you have the previous owners consent that's different. I didn't go this way, just told them they could remove previous owner details.
I'm a bit anal like that when it comes to service history, but in my opinion it shows signs of careful ownership.
