Hi

I have just bought my Cayenne S this week, and already have a gremlin. Its Sunday, and everyone is shut!

I cannot get the glass tailgate to lock, Its like a solenoid not releasing?

Has anyone else experienced this, and maybe can offer some advice.

Many Thanks
Guy

Ah the classic rear-glass popping issue!

Yep I had this on the Cayenne S about 6 months ago. Put the key in the ignition and the rear-glass kept popping open.

It's a common fault and it was replaced under warranty whilst I waited.

Porsche East London are doing it today under warranty. Looks like Porsche spent the £ on the engine, and ignored the little things!

My old man has noticed this on his 996 targa...sometimes the targa lid pops open. Someone mentioned it is a solenoid problem - is it easily fixed?
