going radio gaga
Discussion
OK, so the least important bit of my gorgeous new 968cab is the radio; also the most annoying. Whilst I can do without it, the prospect of having a functioning radio, and a real live CD player(!), is most gratifying after the nonfunctioning radiocassette of the old 944.
Unfortunately the only documentation missing on the car is the Bl**dy instruction manual for the radio. Furthermore, whilst the car in general is very well preserved, the face-off radio isnt, and many of the little labels for the buttons have worn away. Ive sort-of got it to work but I cannot work out how to reprogram stations and lock them (the car is in a new area so the tuning is all off on the presets). Also I cant switch off the flaming traffic alert so i keep getting BBC radio Bristol alerts interrupting wogan in the mornings (I'm in Taunton so not much use)
And finally, it keeps uttering rhythmic high pitched beeps (8-12 in total at each go) at unpredictable moments, which scares the life out of me.
The make is Pioneer, serial DEH 210?? (the rest faded away). Does anyone have one? and if so, can they tell me how the damned thing works or where to get a manual?

Had a similar problem when I took delivery of my latest toy with an Alpine install with a similar lack of manuals, and know exactly where you're coming from with the traffic alerts!!!!!!!
