Re-trimming Cayman dash

I'm looking at getting a Cayman R and one of my preferences is for the leather dash and doors, which very few cars have. It's not a massive issue but I was just wondering if it would be possible to retro fit these parts or just get them re-trimmed and if so what would be the likely cost. Anyone done it?

Leather parts are v expensive - dash around 2.5k fitted. A mate with an 08 997.1 has just had his dash top retrimmed for £350 (Coburns in Blunsdon, Swindon) and we swapped it out/in in two evenings

Thanks for that. 2.5k is pretty steep but 350 for the top doesn't sound bad at all - does it look OEM? I would imagine then that the doors themselves could probably be done for a similar amount, maybe a touch more for the pair, and another 3-400 is for the bottom half of the dash. Does that sound reasonable?

It's not something I'm desperate to do but the standard Cayman finish does feel a bit cheap when compared to the leather finish (and my last 4 Porsche all had it). Any reason why your mate went with Coburn's?

They are local to us (Cirencester), PC Swindon use them and they are Porsche owners too so know the OEM finish quality.
