Latest extended warranty

Just renewed the warranty on the Spyder and, as I know it's going to need new front pads later in the year, have just been looking through the details of the policy having seen all the posts etc on everything having to be done by the OPC to keep the warranty valid in the past.

Having been through it though I can't see this requirement explicitly mentioned anywhere. I can see reference that if the issue is caused by something not fitted by the OPC, or utilising non-Porsche parts, then the claim will be rejected, and that servicing etc must be carried out as per the owners manual, but nothing say wear and tear work must be done by the OPC to keep the policy valid.

Am I missing something? Has anyone else extendd their warranty recently? The only point of change the service team mentioned was that the battery was no longer covered...

why did you renew ?

and as stated they are making a point about battery now NOT being covered.

you are now stuck with N rated tyres, their pads, and a £250 battery as it will be due one now its 4 years old !!!

Not according to what the OP has said in his post. "If the issue is caused by..."

Exactly, this has been the case for some time but it just seems impossible for people to accept or understand.
