I need to know if its possible to add parking sensors to my '90 944 S2. If so, then I also need to know
1) what product to buy and
2) who should I use if I want them fitted to the car?

I haven't yet checked with Porsche themselves, but I presume they won't be the cheapest.

I don't recall Porsche offering parking radar on the 944 but Maplin (www.maplin.co.uk) do a couple of add on options under their catalogue numbers VE08J and N54AW. Not entirely clear from their website but the latter may be an assembled version of the former. Neither is expensive though the pre-assembled version is five pounds cheaper (!) at £15 which probably means you'll have to drive the S2 wearing your bobble hat and anorak if you install them. I'd have thought an auto electrician should be able to install them.


So now the question is 'why' after which I reserve my right to laugh.
