A fantastic way to see your dream car

I have just placed an order for one of these for one of my dream cars e30 M3...seems like a novel way of getting a rather unusual image of your favourite or,in fact your own car.
I have no affiliation with this business, but as I will only get my order if he reaches his target I do have a vested interest in getting as many people ordering as I want to make sure I get mine!

Nice ks project, just wish I had a keeper to make one from!
I assume you have written off to the car clubs , especially the classics, I'm sue a lot of mg owners would love it, but never heard of ks( stereo type I know)
Also, I could be wrong but didn't see a size for it in the spill?
Could u not introduce a larger size for extra ks $$?

They're about A3 size.
The machines available at that kind of price only have A3 size work beds and at the moment, I'm only looking to produce things I can make myself rather than outsourcing. Once KS is complete and it's all set up and running (hopefully), then I may look at offering larger pieces and get them outsourced, but during KS I have a fixed budget so need tight control on the costs.
I've not had much contact with classic clubs yet, should probably look at that!

Absolutely, I try to incorporate as much of the detail of your car as I can! Visual customisations like that will require a couple of photographs of to get them looking just right though. The best photos for me to reference for a drawing like this are not typically the sort of photos that people tend to have of their cars, so I thought it best to write a quick guide on taking photographs here. That covers taking shots for me to use for the entire drawing but for the majority of vehicles, full car shots aren't necessary and I only require images of the visual modifications like bumpers/splitters, albeit in the same 'blueprint orientations' as described in the link.
It might sound a bit complicated if you're not into your photography, but really it's just a case of taking photos from as far back (with as much zoom as you have available) and as straight as possible, to avoid perspective issues.
I'll endeavour to get a proof copy of each drawing sent out to customers before etching them, so that you can advise any last minute changes if something doesn't look quite right.

Standard = no photos required isn't a hard and fast rule. For a lot of brand new cars, there is a good chance I may require them as they're unlikely to be documented yet. For instance this weekend I shall be going along to my local BMW dealer to photograph the new M235i for drawing, as there's nothing else available to use at this point. The dealership actually want the artwork to hang in the sales office apparently which is pretty cool! I had a look on the Porsche site but they don't really have what I'd need, there's a nice side and front shot but not entirely perspective free, I can't see a rear or top shot at all though it could be hidden somewhere. I would get the reference material from elsewhere for the 991 I think. I try to avoid lifting references direct off manufacturer websites if at all possible, especially for current models. Although the artwork I am producing is my own work, I'm sure some over zealous IP lawyer would have something to say if they could prove I had used a copyrighted image as a reference!

The 'vector drawings' from that site are more like what I would be doing, although I do my own from scratch as I've tried some of the downloadable ones from that site and found they weren't the best accuracy, more often than not they needed significant work to bring up to standard.

Indeed! Once the target is met (hopefully) then I'll be contacting all the backers to get all the information I need!Obviously, feel free to share this on any Porsche specific forums/social media groups you might be a member of too, the more people that see it and back it, the more likely it is to become reality!
I keep the facebook page regularly updated with progress too.
