996 tt boost pressure

Recently fitted new actuators to both turbos as the old rods/nuts were badly corroded, adjusted both up equally to get boost 0.6-0.7 bar, however on further playing about if these actuators are adjusted ( shortened ) then boost pressures of 0.9 - spiking 1 bar can be had. Need to know if my car has been flashed or by simply adjusting actuators too much would cause this naturally as it's trying to create a closed waste gate.Restet back to what is thought stock boost levels , advice please

Normal pressures for a stock car would be 0.7/0.8

I'd suggest you get them adjusted and calibrated correctly. Usually spiking higher than that would mean either a remap or you have a boost leak from a loose pipe or a diverter valve.

To get the actuators set up to factory spec would just mean doing it in a quicker way to me by applying a set pressure to actuators so they just slip onto waste gate arms, the way I've set them up is equal just taken longer. I recently replaced my diverters for the piston type ( wot a nightmare job ) got no leaks and have no problems if left at boost pressures either quoted just that ones faster than the other as expected. Still baffled!
