Discount on the new GT3

Hi folks,

I am trying to set the deal on the new GT3 and was wandering what kind of discount I am able to negotiate on this car from a German dealership?
I know it much depends on the brand loyalty and this is going to be my first Porsche. Would you share some numbers, please?

I think that wasn't quite the same in some parts of the EU - probably only applies to LHD cars.

Demand is greater than supply in the UK, in Europe its a different matter entirely.

OP, silly question but are you aware of the current issues? I only ask as it seems like whatever deal you manage to negotiate, it may be a while before you get to drive the car.

In europe, yes I was very reliably told definitely are discounts available, and that was even before the whole engine issue kicked off. Although perhaps MY15 cars might be tougher to get now as some cancelled orders shift to the later model year.

This is exactly what ex pat colleague of mine has negotiated via dealer in Belgium. If the car ever arrives ;-)

Yes, I am aware of the engine problem and will delay putting the deposit down. I am sure Porsche will sort it out but that's been discussed already in other threads.

I was offered 5% so it looks that it's the correct number.

By the way I was told that delivery time at the moment is 11 months. Ordered now, delivered in 11 month. Hope they are correct figures.

I got 5% off my LHD one in Spain...and the same on a LHD 3.0d Cayenne....

The GT3 base price in Germany is 137,303 Euros which is roughly £113,430, so even with a discount in Germany it might still be dearer than the UK with its base price of £100,540.00. It would be cheaper for the German dealers to buy them in the UK and sell them there at list?

The thing is that the dealer in UK can accept the deposit (after pushing them hard) but gives no guarantee that the car would ever be delivered. Given the present Cayenne delivery problems I doubt that they would get GT3 production allocation for me. The chances are I would say slim. It means missed opportunity to own this great car.
In Germany the delivery is guaranteed but it's 12kEUR more expensive.
I am still hesitating what to do...
