997 DRIVE BELT

I have a 997 2005 with 48,000 mls it has OPC service history , it has not had a drive belt replaced as yet , can anyone tell me if this is due ,or overdue, thanks in advance.

It will list when it is due to be replaced in your service booklet.

Off the top of my head its due to be replaced at year 6 service.

In that case it should have been carried out at last years service, not like them to not let you know, there's work to be done

I've just checked on an old doc I had downloaded from the Porsche site. On year 6 (a minor service) the belt should be replaced, along with the brake fluid. I assume it would be an additional charge that your OPC would highlight at the time.

checked the service book again it, did not have one at year 6 minor, and did not have one year 8 major, after the last service just noticed on complimentary visual health check form , belt due change , so better get one done then , maybe mileage has some thing to do with it , it had done 45000 then ,

Had 6yr service done on my 997 Turbo. No drive belt replaced at this service.

6 months later, drive belt started squealing. Informed that car is overdue new drive belt because of it's age.

New drive belt fitted.....£130.
