Truested body repair/smart in the south?

Apologies for posting this here rather than the regional boards, but I wanted to get some general recommendations.
My Boxster was hit by an object on the motorway which has left a dig resembling a huge stone chip. It is only the size of a 5p coin, but it is right back to the metal and has actually dented the panel.
I have been told that the whole bonnet will have to be repainted, and possibly even the wings! I don't want that as I am never happy with the finish on a resprayed car. I'd rather have this small mark not quite invisible rather than whole panel(s) that don't look good.
Can anyone recommend someone who they have used for this type of thing. I am in SW London/Surrey, but am prepared to travel a couple of hours to get this done right.

Get a good paintless dent removal guy on the job first (might be difficult at the edge of a panel though as it's less flexible) then use a touch up stick.
If you want a more thorough job then build up a few layers of paint then lacquer with the touch-up allowing a day or so for each coat to harden, then carefully flat it back with increasingly fine grades of wet & dry paper (1000, 1500, 2000, 3000) then complete the job with polishes.
If you've never done this before give the job to someone else who knows what they're doing - if you get it wrong and go through the lacquer and paint your car will definitely need the bonnet painting.

That is what I was hoping to do, just waiting for my usual PDR guy to come back to me.
