Porsche Assistance
Discussion
I recently had to avail myself of Porsche Assistance as my 21 month old 991 Cab was losing coolant. They were excellent. They arranged a replacement car but did chuckle when I said as long as it was PDK it would be ok! A BMW 320 D Auto duly arrived which itself was a superb car. Mine was mended with my OPC (Wilmslow) keeping me fully informed and it was even cleaned upon it's return. So, the motto of my story is for those of you out there wondering whether to renew your warranties I'd say yes! I will be when my car is 3 years old as I'm contemplating keeping it a long time.
Porsche Assist can be renewed by itself i.e. without warranty. Not sure if there is any material difference than with AA or RAC, other than you can transfer the name on the policy where as with RAC direct you can't.
At one point the OPC would provide another Porsche if you car had to go in(well WL OPC did)

Was it covered by AA?
I recently got a letter saying from 1-May Porche Assistance is switching from RAC to AA. Just want to know if AA are any good. RAC have been excellent in the past.
No, the RAC came out but the RAC man did say they were losing the contract to the AA.I recently got a letter saying from 1-May Porche Assistance is switching from RAC to AA. Just want to know if AA are any good. RAC have been excellent in the past.
