Exhaust detatching from Manifold
Discussion
While enjoying my 996 on Saturday and revelling in the flat six growl, I realised that I was a bit more shouty than normal. This was confirmed when I parked up on my drive and got out of the car to listen and see what was going on.
It didnt take long to notice that where the exhausts meets the manifold on the driver's side bank, there was a good 15mm gap between the two pipes, with the metal gasket rattling away nicely. The three bolts holding the two together appeared very much past it.
Anyone experienced something similar? Could it just be down to failing/rusted connecting bolts or something more concerning?
