I have a 1987 924S Le Mans in black - decent car, had it since 2004 (second owner) and it's now done 51k miles. Never going to be worth much....and not everyone's cup of tea.

The original interior is in pretty good shape but the material on the seat bolster is now showing some wear - does anyone have any of that material (grey with "light green" pinstripe)or know where I can get some?

Willing to buy enough to fix my immediate issue or by the square metre if that works better?

Also, if anyone knows a decent trimmer in Sussex/Surrey to do that work I would also value any recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Have you talked to southbound (http://www.southboundtrimmers.com) not cheap but they carry loads of original material.

Also try the US, I had bought some trim for my 83 SL from there. I believe the outfit was called WorldUpholstery.

Actually yes www.worlduph.com

Southbound is a clichéd answer. They haven't carried material that you cant buy elsewhere for years and years.

The grey flannel with turquoise pinstripes is available new and not expensive (88 Euros a linear metre), but it wont match. Id suggest buying enough to recover both front seats and leaving the rears as they are.

Southbound will make an excellent job of that, but they are expensive. Id suggest Vaughan Green in Loughborough. 20yrs of experience doing proper Porsche seats and even though you see him on the telly on 'VW Rescue' type Discovery programmes now, he is still reasonably priced.

Tell me in the thread if you are going to PM for the fabric details, as it isn't a regular email account.
