My my. This is such a tease. I hope we get a club sport version sooner rather than later.

Lovely looking wing

what's nice about the wing ?

I like the bigger rear lip but not the Halfords wing.

PS you can already buy the perfect Cayman the RUF 3800S 420BHp 991 engined 981 Cayman, with 6 pots and body/sus tweeks ;-)

So how the Hell can we know that's an official Porsche production car just by some oik following and videoing it?

What's that new favourite phrase?

Gear ratios are already too long in the manual 981 cayman.

But put the PDK gt3 sport box in one and might be worth a look :-)

Not conclusive evidence, but it is wearing an LB region licence plate, as do many Porsche prototypes testing at the Ring, LB being Ludwigsburg which is next door to Zuffenhausen.

Also, from where the video starts, it takes a long and indirect route past the Porsche test centre (the grey penultimate building on the right at the end of the video). It's possible the driver was either on a predetermined test route, or had intended to return to base but clocked that he was being tailed by a photographer and decided to try to lose him.

Or it was just someone who lives near the Porsche factory who just happened to be at the Ring in a non-standard 981 Cayman.

^Interesting.

Last idea seems unlikely as it has the GTS rear bumper/apron/diffuser thingy, and the GTSs aren't being delivered quite yet are they?
