as the post says going to park at luton airport in the mid term carpark,i haved used gatwick long term before no problems just wondered what the parking bays etc are like or should i take my shopping trolley to be on the safe side!

If it's the one on the right as you come in just before you go under the bridge to the terminal I would say "OK". last parked there a year or so ago in nice new Audi and it was rough asphalt but no bays - so you can leave room. You never know, of course, and last few flights I've taken from Luton the departure lounge ain't pretty at 06:30...

Others might have more recent experience.

I used the Pink Pig parking, just around the corner from the airport and was very happy. Call them 10 min ahead, you leave your car in a covered (for most part) facility, they give you a ride to the airport (5 min max). On arrival, you call them when you land, and they pick you up. Cheap too, I think gbp 10 a day

I find it OK --- good for transits as well, no height restrictions !
