Yep, we were there, heard there wasn't as many as last year. We went in just the one Porsche instead of two so didn't help the numbers.

Good weather though, and more Boxster Spyders than I've ever seen in one place.

I heard there were 221 on the prom which is more than last year. Didn't bother with the prom myself but was at the track day the day before.

You're correct Steve - at least, 221 cars is what the organiser has posted on the PCGB forum.

Very pleasant event, simple but effective and plenty to do nearby.

Just to fly the TIPEC flag for a moment: the two GT3's are attendees at the North West Region TIPEC monthly meets just outside Preston. Which is nice.

Yep - my Spyder went on Friday. I believe it was purchased by 8.30am Saturday morning.

My new car was in pole position on the line up...

A nice few hours spent chatting and some lovely cars on view old and new. I must say of the new cars the Cayman is lovely, perfect size and the so well proportioned. How does it compare to the spyder Rob?

Ha - optional electric folding mirrors - they do this every time I lock it. I think you can change it in the PCM but I have not yet read the manual and have no idea how to do this.

It is very different to the Spyder, reduced wind noise and increased ride comfort being the biggest changes. PDK is very impressive. Interior is nicer, leather packages really lift this car too. Jekyll and Hyde car - one moment trundling along in 7th gear, next moment sets off like a stabbed rat when you hit the flappy paddles. Instantly confidence inspiring with the handling, I like it.
