Duck tail spoiler thingys
Discussion
Does anybody in the UK have these fitted to their cars? Only recently discovered them and think they look superb on the right car but am trying to figure what configuration looks best, at what sort of cost to make it look right (seems like side skirts and new bumpers might also be needed) and where I can get the thing fitted.
Please post pics!

Never mind, I have located the kit I was looking for!

Now all I need is a 997

There's also one in Carbonfibre from RPM, as fitted to their CSR cars:

Gorgeous, in my opinion.

Yeah I agree. I have always loved 911's but have always been unsure about the big rear spoilers and am definitely not a fan of aerokits on non turbo models.
After seeing the ducktail on a sport classic I was completely bowled over and am thinking i could get a modern take on a retro design.
I would love an old 911 with a ducktail like the black rsr but definitely couldnt afford or find one of those and am not sure an old aircooled would serve me as well as a 997 as a daily driver. This however would tick all the boxes for me
Wonder what 997 would be best for this type of project....I read somewhere that some prefer the c2 over the c2s as it has a more revvy engine? I do tend to prefer engines that rev high and need to be pushed hard to squeeze performance out vs outright speed - never been a fan of turbo cars as a result but tend to prefer Vtecs.

Sigh.
Google '73RS.
Ok i just googled that, shows me a load of pictures of that car with some interesting wheel and body colour combinations with only one having black wheels. I just keep seeing standard 997's in white with black wheels or even white cayennes with black wheels and it just doesn't float my boatGoogle '73RS.

Ok nursey, like when you wipe his bottom, more precision is needed:
google for images of "Fuchs Alloys"
There you go! All clean now... I mean, clear now?
FFs.

Probably a bit like putting a duck tail on a 997?
Ok I see your point, I'm just seeing a lot of cars not just Porsches with the white paint black wheel combo and it does seem to be amongst the younger generation - it's not like duck tail spoilers are appearing across a whole range of carsMr Ping said:

Maybe the while silver wheel thing doesn't float their boats? It's just a subjective colour choice - clearly enough people choose it... So it's popular enough for manufacturers to offer... Not rocket science although I'm sure someone could get a government grant to do a study on it (which is really only half a joke unfortunately...)For what's it's worth, I think white with black wheels can look fantastic on some cars...

I have to concede that I've seen black wheels on black cars and get that even though it's not my thing but when lots of white and black combos suddenly appeared I thought it was maybe triggered by the latest fast and furious movies which I avoid - especially as it seemed to be most prevalent on bmws, golfs and audis, especially when I visit Bradford to work. For what's it's worth, I think white with black wheels can look fantastic on some cars...
Regarding Fuchs wheels yes I'm already aware of those and do like them but personally wouldn't stick them on a white car.
