Flew there on Friday for the day, here are some photos of the RT12, it's an awesome car.

Rear tyres are 345/25 on 20inch rims. Brakes are 380mm 8pot front and rear! Price starts at 195,000 euros plus taxes, for the 560bhp engine, they haven't finalised other prices, such as the 650bhp 3.8litre option.............

Wow - what a beast, looks incredible puposeful! Not a colour for shrinking violets mind you. Not sure about those air intakes on the 'hips' - they look a bit funny up there.

Definitely the bastard child of a 996 and a 993GT2...

I like the seat cover material. Very stylish.
Colour scheme looks very early 911 era. Is it Blutorange?

Guy.

I like the car better in your pics than in other photos I have seen.

A few questions....is the engine based on the new 997 unit? Or do they use the trusty old 996 Turbo motor with its strong bottom end? Surely it would be easier to drop a modified 996 Turbo engine in than to try to turbocharge a new 997 unit? And if they do use the newer engine, would that bother you, regardless of the famour Ruf warranty?

Looks great. On the basis they haven't finalised the price for the 650bhp version I take it you haven't signed the order form yet!

Only five piccies........Come on, let's have the rest of them.

Nice to see they've kept the classic RUF signature of having vents on top of the rear arches. Need to see one in yellow though realy !

Agreed, great pics. Those intakes on the hips, you either love them or hate them. I know they're all about form relating to function but I do wish they'd been able to get something workable along the lines of the 993 Turbo S. BTW is that a small RUF badge offset to the rhs of the engine cover? What's wrong with symmetry?! Overall I suspect it would look much better in black metallic.

We went Thursday, intending to have Thu & Fri at the show. Apart from the Ruf and a very few body styling specialists it was barren for Porsche.

My 1st visit [prob last too] it was all a bit 206 Bling for me.

The oldtimer hall was better but then I'm just an old fart !

Hope the interior is a cost option! Looks like Herr Bling from Blingblingwagens in Koln was let loose again

Maybe they were trying to catch MOD500's eye?

Nice pics Guy. When are RUF anticipating the first customer deliveries?

Nothing wrong with the bright interior Dom, anyway how is the Baron coming along? Herr Bling sent you his best the last time I spoke to him too.

A phenomenal beast, no doubt.

Must empathise with the good Professor Colbeck; everyone knows the hun have an unhealthy liking for Hasselhoffic kitsch but really, whatever happened to Vader Black interiors?

I dread to think what this is like on the go...

Sorry been busy today.

To answer the questions in short:

1. Engine is 996TT based. The 997 engine is nowhere near as strong, just like the 996 n/a engines. The 3.8l 650bhp engine is also 996TT based, but a 'special'.......

2. No it's not my car. Its great and I love it, but for £170k it's nearly twice the sale value of my car and has virtually performance i.e. same engine, same weight.

3. Show finished on Sunday.

Thanks Guy, I expected that would be the case.

So that's a definite NO to buying one? Or is it a case of never saying never?

Guys,

Is this Orange RUF car painted a Porsche colour? i.e is this a colour form a past or present Porsche colour pallette??

If so does anyone know the name of the colour???

Many thanks
