Do you go to OPC to change your Porsche tyres?
Discussion
For my other cars, I always buy tyres online and go to Kwikfit/National Tyres to fit them. This usually save may be 20-30%... But, this is my first Porsche and it's got polished wheels. Wheels has the standard 5-lug (not center-lock) so is it ok to trust Kwikfit with the polished wheels?
I understand the tyres have to be N rated but should I really do them at at OPC?
Thank you

It's your choice where you go, but KwikFit have a reputation for not being careful with alloys. Oh, and they're expensive.Thank you

If the OPC is conveniently located, then it's normally worth asking them to price match, particularly when they have the car for other work. In my experience they can nomally get close enough to make it worth going with them for the convenience.
Yup. They always offer me good service and look after my car and wheels. More than can be said for many tyre outfits!I've just booked mine in for 4 tyres and wheel alignment.
Although the tyres will cost about £150 more than the cheapest place, my OPC will valet each wheel as it comes off to remove all the sticky residue from the old weights (which is a massive bug-bear for me!), they're going to do the alignment for half price, and 'give me lunch'...
I've normally had my tyres replaced at a fast fit place (not Kwik Fit) but never felt 100% satisfied.
And I need N rated for the warranty.

Had mine changed recently at OPC Guildford with me supplying the tyres.
I'm always worried to take them to kwik-fit IR elsewhere as I fear they'll just mash the alloys.
OPC did a great job, no rim damage, alloys cleaned, new weights fitted with old adhesive removed and was also very reasonably priced.
I wouldn't risk taking my wheels/tyres anywhere else personally.

What did they charge for fitting only ?I'm always worried to take them to kwik-fit IR elsewhere as I fear they'll just mash the alloys.

Is there a guide (or code) for tyres' comparison (ie to compare grip in wet, in dry, worn, noise... etc)
Tyrereviews.co.uk brings together most of the independent reviews (objective), and also adds data from actual owners (subjective).http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/
