buckets seats :-)

the S had loads of extra's over the non S so nothing is best to have, it's a great car out the box.

There are plenty of delete options.

Quite a few go for center locks, some for sunroof and rear wipe.

Doubt the usual turbo s buyer would want buckets?

Agreed the turbo S is v well specced

From the couple I have sat in I would add for my ideal spec

Two tone seats, black leather with cream inserts looked great
Rear park assist
Bluetooth
USB universal audio thing
Heated seats
Crest on seats
Leather centre console
Std wheels not centre locks
If you can have std steering wheel but with MF buttons I would go for that too

From what I remember Two tone were standard as we're centre locks

That's why asking about spec is a daft question, I would love buckets in one, where some owners want the Awefull button steering wheel over panels.

Each too their own and all that :-)

Centre locks were standard on the S an option on the non-S. I think the other poster was referring to people opting to not have the centre locks (delete option).

Yep but some swapped two tone for full leather, or standard turbo wheels at no extra cost.

I loved the two tone look but find the centre locks look a bit naff, plus the extra maintenance grief

Most 997 Turbo S were well specced up and many have extended leather carbon and sunroof.

The spyder centre locks were actually a £2250 optional extra but personally I prefer the standard two spoke 'blade' turbo alloys and there is little difference in a cars value with either.

As long as the car has an above average spec and is in a 'good' colour I.e black grey or white, you will be okay. Other essentials for good residuals are heated seats, and possibly NOT the multi function steering wheel with compromised gear change in place of the standard sports wheel with flappy paddles.

Most Turbo buyers would not want bucket seats....any car with them would be worth less.....yes

Are you saying the centre locks were an option or the Spyder centre lock wheels? CLs were standard on the Turbo S

No they weren't. Centre locks were standard on the 997 turbo S and the turbo II wheel was a no cost option.

Ha Ha. Not sure what you mean by Spyder centre locks. If you are talking about the standard silver coloured centre lock wheels (like the ones on the GTS that were sometimes black?), then they were standard on the Turbo S. They all came with those unless you specifically optioned the 5 stud Turbo II wheels.

From the 997 Turbo/Turbo S brochure (in the Turbo S section):

".....Also fitted as standard are the
lightweight, forged RS Spyder
wheels with a motorsport-derived
central locking device....."

I think they were an option on the regular Turbo?

Best is always subjective.

I would aim for Aerokit, Buckets, Paint-to-sample and a full leather interior.
