Can you trace a map?

My friends 996 turbo boosts to 1.0 bar. Told her it should be around 0.8/0.9 max so she had it checked out. Everything came back with a clean bill of health, no issues with wastegates, acuators and no boost leaks. So it must have been mapped at some point but there is nothing in the history file that came with the car. Is there anyway to trace who mapped it?
On a side note, she had a GT2 wing fitted without a front PU! The shock and horror of it ! Its a crash waiting to happen
No difference as to how it drives apart from the mpg has gone down just below 20MPG.

1.0 bar does sound high, but a standard car can spike to that high under certain conditions. Where are you taking your boost reading..? From the inlet plenum..? Are you using the standard pressure sensor and OBD2 port to measure it, or just viewing it on dash display..? On a side note, she had a GT2 wing fitted without a front PU! No difference as to how it drives apart from the mpg has gone down just below 20MPG. Atmospheric air pressure, current altitude above sea level all have an affect. The ECU just delivers the correct amount of boost for the throttle pedal demand. Are you regularly seeing 1.0bar under full load in top gear..?
You should be able to download the engine ecu map with the correct diagnostics software, and see if its a standard Porsche map, or if the boost pressure etc have been adjusted.
1.0 bar is a bit higher than what I would expect to see from a stock 996 Turbo and what I have seen with a stock 996 Turbo.
Most I've seen is 0.9 bar, and this was not a momentary spike either, but was present for some time under hard acceleration at high altitude (~8K feet above sea level).
IIRC, there can be a mechanical problem that can result in over boost but I do not recall the details.
I think the owner needs to get the car checked out for an aftermarket MAP or tune as others have suggested and if the car comes back with a factory MAP or tune then this suggests there is a mechanical problem that is responsible for the over boost. Then this needs looking onto. Too much boost could lead to engine damage and these are not inexpensive engines to work on.
