996 turbo vs 997 turbo exhaust - same or different?

I looking for an exhaust for my 996 Turbo, seen a very good second hand Boyson 997 Turbo exhaust that looks identical.

Are they the same, fittings and hangers etc?

Not sure, they look very similar, only it seems to have been inverted for the 997. I looked at Kline-Innovation website and compared.

First photo is the 997, second the 996. Chances are there would be slight differences where the exhaust tips line up so you may get it on but you might not be able to get the tailpipes to line up in the bumper.

Those are aftermarket but simply sitting the opposite way up.

Yeah I know they are aftermarket but they are still for both cars you mentioned.

Anyway there's your answer, they are different. That's from an indie.

You after an original used 996 turbo system...? If so email me with details and I will check at work as I think we have a good used one.

No, not necessarily, the photo shows one taken sitting the other way up from the other, take a look and you will see what I mean.

No, they're different - look at the positioning of the O2 Sensor ports and the 'Kline' wording.
